MANAGER ONBOARDING LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

In this session, we will highlight the importance of engaging your leadership population early in their onboarding experience to drive connection, culture, and compliance from day 1. At Chewy, we provide all new leaders with an in-person Chewy Leadership Orientation Experience (CHLOE). CHLOE provides foundational knowledge pertaining to our company’s history, mission, vision, operating principles, and brand. Additionally, the participating leaders receive vital information focused around Chewy’s four pillars of success: Safety, Quality, Engagement, and Productivity/Standard Work; all with the intent to better prepare the leaders for a successful journey within Chewy Operations.

With over six years of progressive experience in human resources, I am a passionate and certified HR Program Manager at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a leading pediatric healthcare organization. My mission is to provide facilitation and content creation that support the employee cycle and experience, as well as the ongoing learning and development of the staff. As a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, I have a proven track record of analyzing, developing, and implementing effective human capital strategies, programs, and processes that align with the organizational goals and values. Some of my recent achievements include leading a cross-functional team to improve the employee onboarding process, resulting in a 30% reduction in time and cost, and facilitating multiple workshops on DISC personality assessment, enhancing team collaboration and communication. I also possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills, and I enjoy working with a diverse and dynamic workforce.

Onboarding Portfolio Leader Laura manages Protiviti's Onboarding portfolio withing the Global Learning & Development team. Her primary focus is welcoming new hires, ensuring that they feel a sense of belonging and purpose in their new roles. Laura manages the global onboarding curriculum, designing and delivering 'Passport to Protiviti,' the world-class, multi-day onboarding session for all Protiviti new hires. Protiviti's onboarding is a 365-day learning experience with e-learning, virtual, hybrid, and in-person programming spanning across the globe. Prior to Protiviti, Laura worked in education and the theatrical field and continues to bring her arts and education background to her instructional design, project management, and facilitation work.
Evan Witten
Specialized Learning Leader Evan manages Protiviti's Onboarding portfolio withing serves at Protiviti as a Learning and Development Senior Specialist. He is the lead facilitator of the award-winning Passport to Protiviti onboarding program in North America, leads Protiviti’s onboarding technology, facilitates Design Thinking programs, and supports Protiviti’s Leadership Development programs. Evan is a Certified DiSC facilitator and is also certified in InsideOut Development coaching. He is a graduate of the School of Business at the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
